Sports Car Revolution 2006

Welcome!

Welcome to another season of Sports Car Revolution. Our intention is and has always been to produce a show that is about making your car work or work better. Period.

If we're not doing that then we're not tuning, we're not developing, we're not preparing. We're just dicking around. That's okay for some, we think. But here, it's all about making the car go faster, go around corners better and stop as many times as we need it to.

We appreciate it when you get involved. Let us know what you think, how we're doing and what you might like to see on a future episode. We read every email and respond to the vast majority.

Ask us exactly how to build an MX-5 series car and you're likely to wait a
long time for the response, but most reasonable thoughts and requests will
get a response.

Our staff are all car guys. Our friends are mostly car guys. Our mission is
to make a show that we all like and we hope you'll like it to.

We'll see you at the race track.

Mazda MX-5 Spec Racer
This year Chip Herr hosts the conversion of a beautiful Mazda MX-5 roadster into a very competitive MX-5 Spec Racer for the SCCA Pro Racing series ‘Mazda MX-5 Cup Presented by Hankook’. Grassroots Motorsports Magazine is coordinating the project, BSI Racing of Ormond Beach is doing the wrenching, Mazda Motorsports is supplying the parts, Hankook Tire is the series sponsor, Chip Herr will be driving and Rick Bye is on board to oversee all aspects of the project. Ford Focus
Sean Hyland takes us from mild to wild as he and his crew convert this
'pathetic' Ford Focus into a serious tire burning street/track performer.
Not your everyday Focus V8 conversion as the owner of this car wants, more
than a 'nice' street machine. He also wants to take the car to lapping days which means, in addition to going fast in a straight line, it must also turn and stop. Sean and the boys are up to the task as over 13 episodes they show how it is done. More

A pair of Infiniti G35's
With the assistance of Nissan Motorsports and Oakville Infiniti, Sports Car Revolution had the opportunity to work on two similar G35 ’s – one a bright red 2 door coupe, the other a ‘sedate’ black 4 door all wheel drive. Both are private cars owned by a couple of our corporate sponsors. These cars and the modifications can be seen in shows 2 thru 5. More

Stutz Blackhawk
Our fourth project car of the 2006 season of Sports Car Revolution takes a definite retro turn as we unearth the last 1971 Blackhawk to be built. Fresh from Beverly Hills car #26 of 25 (they counted the prototype) will get the full SCR treatment with an upgraded drive train and suspension with a little, well actually a lot of restoration thrown in.
